It is the statutory duty of Multi Academy Trusts to maintain the single central record of checks carried out in each academy within your MAT.
You must record this data in such a way that allows each individual academy to provide details separately and immediately when required.
Academy trusts (including those established to operate a free school) have the same responsibilities as all independent schools in relation to requesting enhanced DBS certificates for permanent and supply staff.
